Dr. Cantrell is a native of southwest Missouri, Mt. Vernon to be exact.  He is married to Kim.  Together they have five children, Brent’s two children Noah – 4th grader and Madison – 6th grader living with them.  Kim has three grown sons, Nick, Phillip and Tim (wife Angie) and three grandson Caine, Cayden, and Caleb.

Before entering ministry Brent taught instrumental and vocal music in the public schools. 

He has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Drury University, a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School of Texas Christian University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Eden Theological Seminary.

He has served churches for nearly 25 years in Missouri, Texas, Kentucky, Oklahoma and now in Waterloo, IA. 

Hobbies included running and music.  He has competed in two Marathons and countless shorter runs.  He has participated in community theater, instrumental and vocal ensemble.
