                                                Love INC of the Cedar Valley

              This special OUTREACH Partner receives a donation every month from CENTRAL.
                                We are privileged to be part of this local ministry effort.

            Love In the Name of Christ [Love INC] of the Cedar Valley is a relatively 
               new non-profit agency in the Waterloo area, whose mission is to mobilize the
               church to transform lives and our communities in the name of Christ.  It strives
               to provide coordinated help to the poor with basic needs, regardless of race,
               creed, or religious beliefs.  At present, it consists of 13 area churches, working
               in partnership to accomplish these goals. Pastor Brent participated on the 
               organizing committee. 

               Volunteers staff a phone clearinghouse MWF from 9:00 - 12:00 in their office at
               122 S. Hackett Rd. in Waterloo. CENTRAL gives money every quarter to help
               defray these operating costs. Also, we provide up to three gas cards from Kwik
               Star each month for referrals from Love INC. Once a person calls in and fills out
               the paperwork, he/she is "vetted" and then is matched with the church or the
               community organization that will fill that need.

             Each month CENTRAL contributes money, along with canned/boxed food items,
                 to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, a most deserving OUTREACH Partner.
