AYE, THE BLUEBELLS HAVE RETURNED!
Wendy Brudevold, member of Alleluia Choir and Chancel Bells, once again hosted her Annual
Bluebell Bash on Saturday, May 07, 2011. On Tuesday, May 10, the photos below were taken.
While still breath-takingly gorgeous, blooms already are beginning to fade. Within another couple
of weeks, these wild bluebells will no longer be blooming, and soon very little evidence of their
presence will be apparent. Eventually grass will appear where they have been.
Next March, however, the bluebell foliage will slowly begin appearing again. Depending on spring
rainfall and temperatures, this amazing Hudson, Iowa, backyard will regain its spectacular full-blown
grandeur! While the bluebells bloom only a few weeks, we are reminded of God's handiwork.
Thank you, Lord, for yet another gift of beauty!
